Instagram feed?#50

I’ve looked around and I have no idea how to add a carrousel of my Instagram feed to Loranza theme. Possible or not possible yet? Thanks!

Hi Theseasonsofyou , unfortunately Instagram changed how permissions to feeds worked last year, and Shopify asked all themes to remove Instagram sections. More on that here

The Gallery section is designed to look and feel like an Instagram feed and allows you to link to posts, but unfortunately an automatic connection to a feed isn’t possible through a theme any longer. To connect automatically with Instagram feeds you need a way to log in directly to your Instagram account and link it to where you display it, and themes have no way to do that.

Apps can do it, though, because apps can create a third-party login sequence with IG. A good free one I know of is Section Feed by Maestroo.

I wish I had better news here! If it were possible, we’d already be doing it for sure.
